25 Weeks 5 Days

Time is going by so fast, it is hard to believe that I am almost finished with my sixth month of pregnancy! We have been busy trying to get things ready for baby's arrival. We painted the nursery - a very very light blue and will accessorize once we bring baby home! We also ordered furniture and are anxiously awaiting for it to be delivered! We were in MN celebrating Michael's 40th last weekend which was a lot of fun and good to see the Sparks fam:) Then celebrated Bill's bday on Monday! I am fighting a terrible cold this weekend, not sure I have been this stuffy & sick in a l-o-n-g time or maybe it is just that I can't take anything?!? Besides the cold, I feel great! I have been very hungry and am eating way too many chocolate chip cookies, but that's okay;) The baby is moving around a lot more too and kicking. It is so fun to feel the movement and Bill is able to also feel it. I am heading to Tampa Valentine's Day weekend and cannot wait! It will be so much to see family & friends and hopefully enjoy some warm weather:) Here are a few pictures from the last month, the ones in the green shirt are from today and since I'm sick, don't look too close at my face - haha!!

23 weeks, 2 days and counting...

I had another good doctor appointment today, it is really hard to believe that I am in my 6th month! They did a quick ultrasound to try and see the face and spine, two things they were unable to get good views of last time. We were one for two...got the face and all looks well (2 eyes, nose, lips) but Baby Sparks is still in a curled up position, so they were unable to see the lower spine. The doctor is not worried, as everything else looks great (rest of spine & genetics/blood testing) but they would like to make sure, so they will do another ultrasound at 30 weeks. I am not complaining at all - very exciting to see the baby on the screen, so the more the merrier:) Baby Sparks heartbeat was 146, which is well in the average range(120-170). I am doing well with weight gain, actually right on schedule, which was a relief since I have been eating a lot, especially while I was home for the holidays! I feel great these days and really do not have many complaints. I can feel the baby moving daily, which is just too cool. Such a crazy experience. Bill has nicknamed the baby CC as in chocolate chip, due to the fact that I want/eat chocolate chip cookies & milk every night before bed...something I never did before!

We have been busy trying to register (a very overwhelming experience at Babies R Us) and starting on the nursery. We have ordered a crib, dresser & glider and hope to finish cleaning out the room and possibly painting this weekend. Being the planner that I am, I am trying to get things done and in order well in advance. Plus, it makes it all seem real and it's fun:)

Kinder reaction

So on Tuesday we decided it was time to tell the classes that I am pregnant. Both classes were together for morning songs and announcements and Mrs. Betz asked them if they noticed anything different about Mrs. Sparks. The kids all looked at me and were looking me up and down, when one of the children blurts out, "oh my goodness, Mrs. Sparks has a baby in there" to which another child said, "holy cow"! I must say it was pretty hysterical. They have since had many funny things to say, such as today one student said at dismissal "have fun tonight with your baby...in your stomach" not sure what that really means?!? It seems I have also been the hot topic at many a dinner table this week, where they have discussed the baby in my tummy and then how big my tummy looks....nice. It is funny to see how each child reacts to the news, they all seem to be processing it differently.

I am feeling well these days and have my next doctors appt. on Thursday. Will post more then. Hope all is well with each of you!
