21 weeks

Hi!
I hope everyone had a great holiday! We have had a wonderful time in North Carolina and are looking forward to spending New Years with friends in Atlanta. I am still feeling great and have enjoyed being lazy these last couple of weeks! The baby is kicking more and more, but so far I am still the only one that has felt it. I am showing a lot more and starting to get a taste for the challenges ahead with my ever expanding belly! It is hard to believe I am over half way - which means the pressure is on for us to get the nursery ready...one of our New Year's resolutions:)

19 week 2 day visit

I had my 20 week appointment today, it was a little early since I am leaving town on Saturday for North Carolina for a two week vacation:) The baby is all scrunched into a ball so it was hard to get a lot of good pictures. In fact, they have scheduled me for another ultrasound in a month to try to get some better shots of the spine and head. They are not concerned by anything, but just want to make sure. I am excited because it means I get to see Baby Sparks again! So the baby is right on track - the ultrasound puts it at 19 weeks 2 days, which is exactly where I am. The baby weighs about 11 ounces, is approx. 9 inches long and heartbeat was 153. We also counted a total of 10 fingers & 10 toes - yay!

All looks good for me too, everything seems to be in the right place and I've gained a total of 10 pounds. I am starting to show more and felt a kick for the first time...it was just a light little flutter, but was very exciting and I cannot wait to feel more! I am feeling great and really do not have any major complaints. I am looking forward to getting back East and celebrating the holidays with family & friends!

Here are a few pictures of the ultrasound - the ones with the swollen looking stomach are head shots ie you can see the eye sockets, whereas the other ones are profiles. I'm not sure why the photos are so small...I will try to figure it out when I'm not so tired, although technology is not my strong suit;) However, if you click on the pictures they will get larger. Also here's a shot of my growing belly and one of N is her new doggie snuggie:)

17 Week Photo

So here are a couple of photos of my growing belly; the bump seems to have appeared over night. It is strange to look down and see my ever-expanding waistline:) Norlina was very jealous that we were taking pictures of something other than her, hence the photo of us...I think this baby will be a huge adjustment for our little princess! We woke up to a winter wonderland this morning. It is freezing cold and has been snowing all day and is suppose to snow until Wednesday, on days like this I wonder why I ever left the warm sunshine of FLA! Hope all is well with each of you.
